Stonecrop

Dry River Road

Stonecrop's 20 acre family owned and operated vineyard is located on the renowned Dry River Road, 6 kilometers south of the village of Martinborough. Situated in the South East of New Zealand's North Island, Martinborough has a deserved reputation as one of the finest wine producing regions in New Zealand. Stonecrop's vines are grown at the base of a rugged mountain range on the edge of an ancient river bed in stony silt loam soil where the combination of low rainfall, hot summers and a long dry ripening season create the perfect conditions for growing Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. The owners Andrew Harris and Sally Richardson have long held a passion for Martinborough wines and their vision of creating top quality wines from this premium wine growing region has now been realized.

After an exceptional growing season, in April 2006 the first vintage was hand picked, and with the expertise provided by one of New Zealand's finest winemakers, Stonecrop's Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are now available from selected retailers in New York State.
